Nepal Flash Flood

Nepal Flash Flood

A severe flash flood occurred in Rasuwa District, Nepal, on 26 August 2026. The sudden flooding severely affected Timure, Rasuwagadhi, Syabrubesi and surrounding river communities, causing significant damage to homes, businesses, roads, hydropower infrastructure and essential services. Access to some affected areas has also been disrupted, creating additional challenges for vulnerable families.

Hidaya Foundation collaborated with local partners to deliver relief to over 200 families in the Bagmati Zone in Rasuwa District. A kitchen providing 2 meals a day was set-up with supplies which were sent across the river via zip line to the isolated village as roads and bridges were washed out. As families started to settle back to their homes, they were provided with essential household items including: blankets, buckets, quilts, gas stoves, kitchen utensils sets and more.

Thank you to all who donated to help families in need.
