Afghanistan Earthquake

A devastating 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Kunar province in the eastern part of Afghanistan on August 31, 2025, killing over 1,400 people, injuring over 5,000 and damaging over 3,000 houses. Entire communities have been destroyed, with families trapped, children separated, and critical infrastructure damaged. Roads are blocked, villages are isolated, and urgent aid is needed.

Hidaya Foundation has been working with its partner near the epicenter since day one.  So far, we have provided shelter, tents, carpets, tarps, household items, medicine and medical support, food packages, warm meals, and water tanks. Thousands have been helped with food and medicine and a camp has been set-up for 74 families. Next, we will be building the bathrooms for these camps, along with kitchens, and water supplies.  See picture gallery below for pictures from the field.
