Afghanistan Earthquake
A devastating 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Kunar province in the eastern part of Afghanistan on August 31, 2025, killing over 1,400 people, injuring over 5,000 and damaging over 3,000 houses. Entire communities were destroyed, with families trapped, children separated, and critical infrastructure damaged. Urgent aid is needed as roads became blocked and villages left isolated.
Hidaya Foundation has been working with our partner near the epicenter since day one. We are providing shelter, tents, carpets, tarps, household items, medicine and medical support, food packages, warm meals, and water tanks. Thousands have been helped with food and medicine and camps with bathrooms, kitchens and water supplies have been set-up for hundreds of families.
