“Your wealth and your children are only trial, whereas Allah! With Him is great reward (Paradise). So keep your duty to Allah fear as much you can; listen obey; spend in charity, that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own covetousness, then they the successful ones. If you lend to Allah goodly loan (i.e. spend in Allah’s Cause) He will double it for you, will forgive you. And Allah is Most Ready to appreciate and to reward, Forbearing.” Al-Qur’an: Surah 64: 15 - 17
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Give the Sadaqah (charity) without delay for it stands in the way of calamity." (Tirmidhi #1887)
"Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." (Tirmidhi #2541)
"Sadaqah appeases the Lord’s anger and averts an evil death. (Tirmidhi #1909)
"The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his Sadaqah." (Tirmidhi #1925)
