Subject: Hidaya Foundation Announces Relief Efforts for Pakistan IDPs - Please Donate

Hidaya Foundation (www.hidaya.org) , a Santa Clara based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is raising funds for the purpose of supporting the soaring number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) as a result of the turmoil in Northern Pakistan.
Since August 2008, there has been conflict and fighting in Pakistan’s northwestern region. According to some reports, over 1 million people have now fled from the impacted areas in search of safety. Having home and shelter is something one takes for granted; people are running for their lives clutching a few possessions. The agonies suffered by those who may now have to beg for bread can never be fully comprehended. There will be a massive need for food and shelter for the survival of these internally displaced people impacted by this unfortunate set of events.

In-kind donations: Hidaya Foundation is planning to send several 40’ ocean freight containers with relief supplies. Donations of bulk medicines and medical supplies, traditional Pakistani dresses, shoes, pots/pans, toys and school supplies for children in camps, etc. may be dropped off at our collection facility Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00PM-4:00PM at: 91 Montague Expressway, Milpitas, CA 95035.
