As Salaamu Alaikum (Peace Be Upon You),

Hidaya Foundation (www.hidaya.org) supports poor and sick elderly whose children are poor and can not take care of their parents.  The Creator has again and again has commanded us to take care of ones parents.

"And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty (30) months, till when he attains full strength and reaches forty years, he says: "My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as please You, and make my off-spring good. Truly, I have turned to You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will)." Al-Quran (46:15)

"And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour." Quran 17:23

Abu Huraira reported that a person said: "Allah's Messenger, who amongst the people is most deserving of my good treatment? He said: Your mother, again your mother, again your mother, then your father, then your nearest relatives according to the order (of nearness)." Sahih Muslim, Book 032, Number 6181

For those who are unable to take care of their parents due to poverty, joblessness and other economic burdens, Hidaya Foundation helps by taking care of their elderly by giving them monthly or partial assistance so they may not suffer during the vulnerable stages of their lives.  Please donate your Zakat & Sadaqah for the many humanitarian and charitable causes undertaken by Hidaya during this blessed month of Ramadan.
