For the past several years, Hidaya Foundation (www.hidaya.org) has been successfully implementing the Self Employment project. Encouraged by the results, we feel that we need to put even more focus on this program since it offers a very viable opportunity to help the poor to stand on their own feet and transition from Un-employment to Self Employment. To date, Hidaya Foundation has implemented several successful projects under this program, including:

·  Provide sewing machines to widows and poor ladies to start an in-home tailoring business

·  Assist motivated individuals in setting up retail shops

·  Finance poultry, goats, and other farming endeavors


We are certain that Hidaya can benefit from other small scale business ideas that our donors may have tested and proven, Insha’Allah. We would like to request you to please share with us your ideas for consideration under this project which costs less than $500 to $1000 to implement. We invite you to please send us information, ideas or resources on how your ideas can be implemented in various countries around the globe in agriculture, retail, technology or other areas. Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.
