Hidaya Foundation (www.hidaya.org) continues to take strong measures towards keeping its donors, volunteers and employees safe from the changing international landscape and unpredictable environment.

Here are some of the few steps taken by Hidaya towards Donor Safety:

1. 2006 Financial Audit:

In May 2007, Hidaya Foundation completed its audit of financial statements for the year 2006 by an independent auditor. A copy of the unqualified audited financial statements is available for your review at:

2. Controlled Program Execution:

Hidaya Foundation executes most of its projects by utilizing its own employees and volunteers.  Every project undertaken is thoroughly documented in the form of project proposals, approvals and completion reports. Recipients of in kind or cash donations are required to complete standardized application forms upfront for review and approval.

3. Anti-Terrorism Database:

Hidaya mostly works through its own infrastructure and employees.  If a need arises to work with a partner organization, that organization and its board of directors are qualified by checking against the anti-terrorism databases maintained by the United Nations, US Dept. of Treasury and European Union.

Hidaya Foundation is a US-registered tax exempt charitable organization that has been granted 501(c)(3) tax exempt status since its inception in 1999. All donors receive Donation Receipts for both cash or in kind donations.

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan, during a special ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, DC, on September 21, 2006.
