The first word revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was IQRA – meaning “Read!” or “Proclaim!” Throughout history, the value of education has been universally well recognized as a fundamental human right. Unfortunately today, a large segment of the world's population does not know how to read or write. As a result, they are unable to achieve their goals in life because of lack of opportunities and earning potential to feed their families. Illiteracy is their plight and Hidaya’s foremost challenge.
Hidaya Foundation strives to give highest priority to Educational programs as we strongly believe that most social ills are a direct result of lack of education. Hidaya Foundation plans to spend at least 50% of the donated funds towards educational programs.
