Nazli

Nazli is a 36 year-old widow. Her husband, Gulab, was killed by robbers one year ago.  Nazli is left along to raise their three young children: Gul Hassan, Gul Jan, and Ihsan. After the death of her husband, she faced so numerous difficulties. Nazli’s husband was a farmer and didn't have any belongings or property to leave for the family except for a small home left in unspeakable condition.
Gulab's 2 brothers were unable to support Nazli and her children. Nazli's neighbors were assisting her for a short time but that support was not enough to help Nazli's basic living needs for her children.

Nazli started to work in a neighbors’ home and was earning Rs. 350 ($4.375) per month.  Gul Hassan, the eldest son, had to stop attending school and found a job at a tea house where he was cleaning cups of tea and where he earned Rs. 10 ($0.125) per day.nder these difficult circumstances, Hidaya's team helped Nazli and her children enroll into the No Orphan without Education project.  Now Nazli receives support in form of check and in-kind material to ensure that all of her family's living needs are met and her

Now Nazli has restarted her son’s education and got admission for her daughter also, now both children are going to school and acquiring education.
Now her children will continue their education and grow to be positive members of society.

 

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.

Hidaya Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) with FEIN 77-0502583. All cash and in-kind donations are tax deductible. Hidaya puts it’s best effort to utilize the funds donated for a specific project, sometimes circumstances dictate we use funds otherwise.
