Software Engineering Skills Development:


Over 400 resumes were received for Jan. 4, 2010 to July 3, 2010 semester.  One hundred and two (102) software engineers were selected for training after written test and interview. Currently 66 software engineers are continuing their training at Hidaya Institute of Science & Technology (HIST), Jamshoro, Pakistan.  Remainder of the candidates found the job or failed to meet 90% attendance criteria and were not able to continue the training.
PHP and ASP are being taught  to internees with emphasis on development skills. Majority of internees are given varying amounts of stipend  to meet their basic needs based on their economic background. All such students are given tution assistance as well to continue their learning. 
462 software engineering graduates applied for July 5, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2010 semester.  After written test and one on one interview  all the names of selected interns will be posted by June 30, 2010 or earlier at www.hidayatrust.org)
 
   

Basic Computer Skills:


 Over 400 youth are being offered training in Microsoft Applications  and system administration during summer session in the second quarter 2010.  Below is a chart providing the number of students benifited:

Sitara-e-Isaar Awarded to Hidaya Foundation

Hidaya Foundation was awarded Sitara-i-Eisaar (Star of Sacrifice) by the Government of Pakistan, in recognition of the results-oriented relief efforts during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.
